Art's Art Gallery
When I began painting in 1998 I didn't know what would happen. Now, I never know what will happen next.
I strive to develop unique techniques. My paintings often unfold over very many hours (and weeks) and therefore evolve in unforeseen directions. I have come to expect and welcome that process.
Perhaps my vocation, dentistry, preadapts and impels me to an assiduous, indeed, fastidious approach to art, and yet I hope for each painting to retain at least some sense of impetuousness. The lichen splashed rock face and the mossy path grew slowly and patiently but can delight a viewer with an effect that is inarguably spontaneous. That is what I try to do.
